Network Marketing
Business
Top 10 Reasons Why
 |
This could be your network marketing meeting.
You choose the location and whom to invite. |
|
1. I am not alone but I am independent. In the
vast majority of businesses the owner is all alone. No one knows what issues he or she has to deal with. So
there is no one to talk to about the business except yourself or perhaps a spouse. In a good network marketing
company, there is a much better support system built into the business.
2. I have a better road map. In most businesses, there is no
road map. In traditional business a new direction, or a new product looks good and, if it's successful, that's
great, but if it's not, it can cost you big time. In a good network marketing opportunity, the direction is clearer
with lots of help both from the company and your sponsor.
3. I learn about business. In traditional business, you
learn as you go-- sometimes called the "school of hard knocks" which can put you out of business fast. I a good
network marketing company business education is taught as you go. This is the one key reason why Robert Kiyosaki,
author of the "Rich Dad Poor Dad" series of books supports network marketing. One reason there is a high
failure rate in this business is that new people fail to make the mental adjustment from job mentality to business
mentality. When things don't work out immediately, they often blame the business, not themselves. The "Rich
Dad/Poor Dad" books discuss this in detail.
4. I learn about products. This is important especially
if you're in a wellness opportunity. If that particular network marketing company has excellent
innovative products, you will learn not only about the products but learn how you can be proactive about your own
health. I find I am much more health conscious when I am actively pursuing a wellness opportunity than I am
when I am not.
5. My time is flexible. Work can be done when it suits
you, not your boss. If you're network marketing opportunity is internet based like mine is, communication
via e mail can be done at any time of day or night. Websites can be modified whenever you have time in a day.
Internet Ads can be posted at anytime. You can choose to work 16 hour days or 16 minute days--the results will
definitely vary but it's your decision.
6. You can do this part time. This is far more important
than it seems. It's also got a negative tinge to it for those who don't get it. Popular thinking might tell you
that a "part time" network marketing business is not a real business. The key point is that you can develop another
source of income without disturbing your current source of income. 100% of us require some form of income to live
our current lifestyle so we can't just chuck it for something new. Some people take this leap of faith when
they leave one job to hopefully do better at a new job. Entrepreneurial types start a new conventional business
committing all their time and finances to make a new venture work. In the latter two cases, it's all or
nothing--a big gamble. You win or you lose. In part time network marketing business, you can make mistakes,
you can screw up but there's always a new day to start over. It's a very forgiving business.
7. I can work from home. No rush hours to and from
work--no traffic at all. I do walk along the boardwalk in Cobourg with my wife and my dog
once in the morning and once in the evening. That's my kind of "rush".
8. I can be creative. I believe this is an often overlooked
benefit of owning your own business. Much of what I feel is summed up in the song "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. If you
are creative, and you can learn to be given the opportunity, you can think of ingenious ways of doing your
business. It could be in product selection, marketing, website design, brochures etc. There is literally no limits
as to how you can express your individuality in a small business---maybe that why Mastercard, in its new ad, calls
owning your own small business "priceless".
9. I associate with positive people. There's one really
great thing about being in network marketing or meeting other people in small business and that is the high
positive energy level that surrounds them. There are very few pessimists and "I'm ok" people in their own
successful business. You can't afford to be down so you wouldn't be caught dead "down". You have to be feeling
"great" even when you're anxious as hell. The mind believes what you say so always keep it up tempo even when you
are joking. Successful "possibility" people in business know this and that's why they are fun to be
around. It's energizing. My sponsor in Immunotec Linda Bain is one of the highest energy level people I know. Maybe
that's why she is an Executive Diamond.
10. I can make money and I can make residual income. This is
important since we all need an income to live the lifestyle we want. In the "Seven Habits" book by Stephen Covey,
one of the seven habits is "begin with the end in mind". So the important question, is not what you want to be or
do, it's what kind of lifestyle do you want? How you make your money has a huge bearing on how you live your life.
Doctors make great incomes but do they have the time to enjoy it? A dentist makes a great income but can he afford
to take a vacation? Especially when he or she realizes how much income they are passing up. I always liked the idea
of making "widgets" because widgets get made and I can paid without having to be there. That's the ultimate
goal.
Network marketing gives you the leverage you need to create income so you have
the time to enjoy the freedom of living the lifestyle you dream about living. Oh and that's a really important side
benefit: You are allowed to dream again because now you have a way to achieve those dreams of yours you may have
forgotten about. I love this short movie (I have
no business relationship with Stacy Mayo but I thank her for the movie)
